Because I am bad at scheduling, I accidentally let my cupcake job put me on for Saturday too. Luckily they only wanted me from 10-1 and the shoot went until 3, so I was able to rush out of there and get to the venue in plenty of time to help perform the illusions that included me. I went in to the cupcake shop in stage makeup. I debated also putting on the false eyelashes, but decided against it. I didn't want to look like a total freak. In retrospect though, it probably would have been fine. Anyway, it all worked out. The tricks went smoothly. The outfits looked good. Here are some shots, for those of you who don't do the Facebook:
This is for our 1920's piece where we do a dance and then Sammy turns into me. So crazy! I'll post some video clips as soon as I can. It's a really fun bit.
This is for the "Future of Magic" segment where Sammy puts me into a trance and then makes me levitate!
This new show is totally kick-ass, not only because of the illusions and costumes, etc. but we also have an AMAZING team! Our stagehand Derek and our stage manager Chris are so great. We couldn't have done this without them. Big thank-yous!
The adventure continues tomorrow when we go to a photo shoot! I'm going to be in more of Sammy's promo pictures. Neat!

You have a blog! Awesome! Apparently as a creative professional I need to start doing that.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's not a bad idea. I mostly use this as a way to keep friends and family in the loop- easier than telling the same stories over and over again. But I am also using it to keep a record of my time here in Nashville, something to look back over one day. Glorified diary, I guess.
