We worked hard yesterday.
I ate this breakfast to fuel up. Chicken sausage with potato, onion, and bell pepper. Side of toasty pita and a dish of salsa. And one of my cupcakemuffins.
Late start, but we finished well after 9pm. Sammy and I took a dinner break and worked some more after we took Murray back to the Delearys'. We were too tired to actually rehearse, so instead we did paint touch ups on the set pieces that got grungy during transit from the Rutledge. I also painted some new props for the new show. The Magic Story is going to be so great, you guys! I've never done or seen anything like it. It's got a story line and illusions and history and dancing. So much coolness.
Before rehearsal yesterday, we all went to the costume store. Oh, dear god. I could spend fortunes in that place. So much sparkle! When I come back from North Dakota, there are about 5 wigs that are calling my name. We looked at everything but I only came out with a bowler hat and some false eyelashes. I'm a big fan of the bowler hat. I wore it out.
The fake lashes look great, but they're a bit of a pain in the ass. (I'm not wearing them in this picture.)
Murray put them on for me which was great. But now, the morning after, I look like a zombie. The black glue got all over the corners of my eyes and there are still bits of it in the creases of my eyelids...it's real gross. I've washed my face multiple times today to no avail. I'm stuck with it for the next little bit. I wouldn't mind so much, but we are about to go to the Pier 1 where I'd like to get a job (we need a prop) and it would be nice for them to see me looking my best.
Does anyone know a recipe that uses lots of milk? It seems when I bought a quart I really overestimated how much milk I would use and it says it expires tomorrow. I thought about making pancakes this morning, but then I went back to sleep instead.

Good to see your smiling face! Glad to see you're eating! I love you,
ReplyDeleteDad
Custard (can become ice cream), pudding, tapioca, smoothies and hot chocolate come to mind first when thinking of large milk usage.
ReplyDeleteI love the bowler hat.
Love you too, Dad!
ReplyDeleteI might actually make custard, Lulie. I'll give that a try. Thanks!!
